James Corden will be joining the likes of Richard Attenborough and Tim Allen as he is set to take on the larger-than-life character of Father Christmas.
The actor has signed up to festive flick School for Santas in which he will play a father who embraces his inner Santa in order to win back his estranged children.
James will be in very good hands as Working Title films, owned by Richard Curtis who brought us Love Actually, are behind it.
Richard Curtis was responsible for Christmas favourite Love Actually.
Richard Bean, who worked with James on the award-winning stage show One Man, Two Guvnors as well as the popular television series Gavin and Stacey, has also written the script.
Speaking about the project to The Sun newspaper, James said: “All my life I’ve wanted to make a big family Christmas movie.”
James Corden found fame with comedy show Gavin and Stacey.
He added: “To be making one with a company like Working Title Films is a dream come true. Re-teaming with Richard Bean and Kris Thykier (producer) is like all my Christmases have come at once. I can’t wait to start.”
Filming for the production is due to begin next year which means we will have to wait a while to see it, but we have a festive feeling it might just be worth it!
