In recent months, there have been rumours about the iPhone 7 and what features it will have.
One thing that p*ssed people off is the suggestion that the new model will be missing a headphone jack and sadly, it looks as though those rumours are true.
Forbes reports that sources working for Apple’s Chinese supply chain have confirmed that the company is planning to get rid of the headphone jack.

Instead of the usual port, headphones will now connect using the Lightning connector or wirelessly using Bluetooth.
It’s thought that this change will pave the way for wireless headphones which will force iPhone users to bin their current headphones or purchase an adapter to continue using them.
Either way, people aren’t happy. The environmental waste, the forced headphone upgrade and the huge change to the one Apple feature we thought we could rely on.
There’s already a petition in place (see above) and we don’t think we’ve heard the end of this one.
