Cork Man Issues Warning As His “Dream Girl” Turns Out To Be a Sex Scammer

"She is going to catch someone - if she hasn't done so already."

A Cork Man has warned people to vigilant of sex scams after his online romance turned into a blackmailing nightmare.

Speaking to Cork’s Red Fm’s Neil Prenderville, Gary explained how he met a beautiful polish girl after she “mistakenly” added him on Facebook and then wanted to meet up in town.

He explained:

“I checked into a restaurant Wifi and got a message from her saying you are in the city centre – I am too, would you like to meet.

“I said: ‘Yes, come along.’

“I thought she was sound out, a lovely girl.

“She said she was from Poland originally and had a broken accent.

“We went off together and two pints turned into about 18.

“She said would you like to come back to my friend’s house.

“We went back there. I won’t say what happened. I was just in awe of her.”

However, things quickly turned sour a few days later.

He continued:

“She said she would ring me through Facebook messenger but I wasn’t really in the form as I was half asleep.

“I answered a call and I was looking at the phone I said ‘what the hell is going on here?’

“There she was, starkers lying on a bed.

“She started going to town on herself and I was like ‘Right, okay’.

“I watched for two or three minutes.

“She kept asking me to do stuff, I was reluctant and said ‘No, I’m not into this at all’.”

“I then got this huge message which was like a threat. She was saying, ‘do not end this call, you are under great threat’ and all this.

“She played a video of me watching her and said ‘I will release this video to all your family members and the people of Cork.”

The woman then demanded he send her €5,000 or else she would release the video and “let it go viral”, before demanding €10,000.

Gary warned social media users to be wary of these types of scammers:

“She has definitely done this with other people and she will catch someone.

“She was professional and I think there was more than her involved.

“What if she caught a married man? He would be more inclined to pay it.

“She is going to catch someone – if she hasn’t done so already.

“She was good and I doubt if this is the end of it.”

“I am in shock over being blackmailed. I just want to warn others to be careful who they friend on sites and to be aware of the dangers that are out there.”
