This is magical.
When it comes to proposing there are a number of ways and places to do it. But for Shane, from Ballycastle, Co. Mayo, he knew that platform 9 and 3/4s was the only place to propose to his girlfriend, Edel.
While on a city break to London Shane seized the opportunity at Harry Potter World to get down on one knee and pop the question.
But to honour Edel’s love of Harry Potter even further, he had a very special box made.
Not just any old box, a replica of the Mirror of Erised. Harry Potter fans will know that this mirror is used to show people’s true heart’s desire.
Edel’s sister Rachel told us that the mini Mirror of Erised was specially made so that when Edel pressed a button a picture of them showed up and revealed a beautiful ring inside.

Shane also managed to get their proposal recorded by pretending a guy was taking a photo of them and getting down on one knee.
