Incredible Animals, Irresistible Guests and Intense Drama: The Best of Tonight’s TV

Attenborough’s Ark – BBC Two (9.00pm)

Sir David Attenborough dazzles us with knowledge and footage as he picks the 10 animals that he would most like to save from extinction. Among them are the black lion tamarin and the Sumatran rhino.

Live Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? I’m A Celebrity Special – ITV (9.00pm)

Ahead of the beginning of the jungle series which kicks off on Sunday night, Chris Tarrant is testing past contestants on this special edition of the quiz show. Vic Reeves, Phil Tufnell and Joe Pasquale are among the famous faces giving their final answers.

Mad Men – RTÉ Two (9.55pm)

This week, Harry Crane decides to help a friend while a few of the staff at Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce look set to see their Christmas wishes come true. Jon Hamm, Christina Hendricks and Elisabeth Moss star.

The Graham Norton Show – BBC One (10.35pm)

It is guaranteed to be an entertaining evening as actress Cameron Diaz, music legend Rod Stewart and comedienne Sarah Millican join Graham on the red sofa. Rod will also be performing a tune from his Christmas album.

Atonement – RTÉ One (11.55pm)

Keira Knightley, James McAvoy and Saoirse Ronan star in this heart-breaking period drama about a couple who are torn apart when a young girl accuses the wrong man of a terrible crime. Have the tissues at the ready!
