Several HMV stores around the country are to roll their shutters back up after receiving financial investment from recovery specialist Hilco.
The re-opening of the selected stories will set the company back nearly €4 million, the Irish Independent reports.
It has been announced that shops in Henry Street, Liffey Valley, Dundrum Shopping Centre in Dublin and the Crescent Shopping Centre in Limerick will re-open, with a fifth to be added to the list over the summer.
More than 100 jobs will be created and recruitment will begin next week.

“It will take around six weeks, some stores have to be refitted, but Henry Street is ready to go,” Hilco founder and chief executive Paul McCowan told the newspaper.
Hilco are also reportedly looking into the possibility of opening the stores in Cork and Galway, as well as the outlet on Grafton Street.
