A family were kicked out of a Paris museum last weekend because their “smell” was annoying other visitors.
The couple and their 12-year-old son were visiting the Musée d’Orsay last Saturday with a volunteer from a charity who organises social outings for disadvantaged families when they were told to leave, the Irish Times reports today.
The charity volunteer refused the request, saying the family were properly dressed and causing no harm in the museum.
The family then moved to the less busy art noveau rooms where they were then surrounded by four guards and escorted to the door.
The volunteer did not make a scene, but escorted the family out of the museum.
He explained that he didn’t cause a fuss, his association said, because “he didn’t want to add to the family’s humiliation”.
The Musée d’Orsay is located on the Seine in Paris, France.
