How To Look At A WhatsApp And/Or Snapchat Without The Sender Knowing

Sneaky.

We love Whatsapp and Snapchat but we hate that people know as soon as we’ve read their messages.

There are times when you’re not in a position to reply (a little thing called work mostly) but when someone sees that you’ve read their Whatsapp/Snapchat, they’re likely to think you’re ignoring them. Not what you want on a Tuesday morning when you’ve just about managed to turn on the computer.

However, there’s a way to get around the whole read/unread issue and it’s all to do with ‘flight mode’.

The below video features on TechWorm, and here’s how to go about it.

When you get a Whatsapp, don’t read it. Turn on Flight Mode instead, then you can go into Whatsapp and read the message without those dreaded blue ticks appearing.

Close the app down but it’s important that next time you open it out of flight mode, the blue ticks will then appear.

The same goes for Snapchat: load your snap, turn on flight mode and open your snap. Again when you switch off Snapchat, the snap will appear as ‘opened’.

It could come in VERY handy when in the middle of a snap war /Whatsapp group chat and you need time to think of a witty response…
