Well ladies, have you been watching The Voice? If so, what do you think? Is it better/worse than the X-Factor? Do you like the judges? Are you starting to look at Tom Jones in a new light? (You can tell us, we won’t laugh…much…)
While the public may be enjoying the reality talent-search show, it seems that prospective contestants aren’t exactly jumping at the chance to put themselves forward for scrutiny.
The Irish Sun reports that a try-out for the new series of the show had to be axed after just five people signed up to sing for The Voice’s talent scouts. Yes, really. Only FIVE. That’s slightly embarrassing, isn’t it?
Scouts from the British version of the show were due to visit an open mic night, where interested performers could belt out a few tunes in the hopes of singing in front of the judges, but a severe lack of wannabes meant that the session, which was due to take place in Birmingham last Saturday, had to be cancelled.

Tom Jones: will he stay or will he go?
This isn’t the first blow for the talent show. Already, Jesse J has said that she won’t be returning for another season, and Tom Jones is mulling over whether or not he should say. (According to reports, his son has advised him against appearing in the next season).
So is The Voice set to get the axe? Who knows. BBC bosses have said that the show is due to return for a new series next year and they’ve promised that some major improvements would be made.
Has The Voice had its day? Do you think people are starting to lose interest?
