Here’s the proof that tomorrow is going to be absolutely gorgeous

Here's hoping it lasts.

Cathy Donohue

Finally.

After the dreary and grey humid weather, it’s delightful to actually see the sun appear.

Although the temperatures have been very humid for a few weeks, there hadn’t been any sun until yesterday.

Earlier today, we learned that tomorrow was set to be the warmest day of the year and now there’s proof thanks to a graph tweeted by RTÉ meteorologist Joanna Donnelly.

Joanna seems just as excited as us, saying that this is the first time she’s ever “seen a 30 on the chart”.

It looks like parts of the country will experience THIRTY DEGREES, just as hot and hotter than some of the most European popular holiday destinations, which is pretty impressive.

Here’s the official line from the national forecaster:

“Sunny and very warm for much of the country (it will be the warmest day of this recent warm spell), with highest temperatures reaching 24 to 27 degrees for midland and western areas; it will be cooler along the coasts where it will be duller with lingering sea fog and highs of 20 to 23 degrees.

Cloud will increase during the day but most areas will stay dry. In northwestern areas however a few showers will develop in the evening, some possibly heavy or thundery. Winds will be light easterly or southeasterly, turning westerly in Atlantic coastal counties by evening”.
