While most people are planning on relaxing coming into the summer months, for some Irish athletes, the biggest games of the year are about to take place.
Ahead of the 2015 World Games, Special Olympics Ireland are in the final stages of prepping their 40 team members to compete on the international stage.
Represented by 88 athletes, 40 management team members and 200 Irish volunteers at the 2015 World Games in Los Angeles this summer, Noreen has been involved with Special Olympics for over 20 years and participates in bowling and basketball.
We caught up with Noreen ahead of her departure for Los Angeles to talk about training hard, meeting friends, and why it’s important for everybody to get involved.
