It’s officially here!
The wait is over ladies and gents as Electric Picnic weekend has finally dawned and it’s time to get ready for what is set to be another fantastic event in Stradbally, Co. Laois.
With over 50,000 people expected to attend the popular festival it looks like it’s going to be the event of the year.
With all of that in mind, we had to check out the weather forecast and we’re now cautiously optimistic that there might be a bit of dry weather headed our way.
According to Met Éireann, today (Friday) will be cool and cloudy with some bright and sunny breaks in the south. There will be a few light showers throughout the afternoon with temperatures of about 13 or 14 degrees.
Tonight is set to have patchy drizzle but this will clear and become dry overnight.
Saturday kicks off with sunny spells and moderate winds that will fall off later in the day with temperatures of about 14 to 17 degrees.
Overall, the outlook for Saturday is generally dry but cool conditions, with Saturday night expected to be mostly dry.
Sunday and Monday are both set to be cool dry days with a mix of cloud and sunny spells. Temperatures will range once more from about 14 to 17 degrees, while at night it will be cool with patches of mist and fog.
If it turns out like that we won’t be too upset at all at all.
Now, roll on the weekend!
