Heading On A First Date? Study Proves This Is The Biggest Turn Off To A Potential Partner

While a first date might mean you’re picking out the perfect outfit, fixing your hair or getting a wax, apparently it’s time to start thinking about ditching the cigarettes.

If you ever needed a reason to quit your habit, the latest study has shown that 52 per cent of first-daters are turned off by a ‘fag breath’.

Daters were asked their top turn-offs when it comes to being swooned by a new potential love-interest, and it seems our noses tend to lead the way.

While ‘fag breath’ tipped the polls, a strong smell of garlic took the second place spot with 27 per cent of respondents.

So what rounded off the top three turn offs?

Not surprisingly, bad kissing technique is the third major reason to quench those passion flames.

That’s if you can get past their breath and strong smelling foods first…

The survey, by oral health company DenTek, also found that 87 per cent of men expect to kiss with tongues on the first date. Which could happen, provided they take their oral hygiene care as more than just lip service…
