Thief in Tullamore – you should be ashamed of yourself.
A giant magnetic duck that has so far travelled over 2,500 miles on a car bonnet has been stolen in the County Offaly town.

The bereft owner of the duck, which lights up, posted a series of pictures on image-sharing site Imgur in an attempt to be reunited with his little yellow mascot, saying: “The duck usually travels on this small red car. Strong magnets keep it in place, even at motorway speeds. A small cable underneath (not shown) is ready to catch it in the unlikely event that it falls off.”

The duck has travelled, without incident, through England, Wales, California and Nevada – but his Irish travels were rudely interrupted when an opportunistic Offaly thief decided they wanted the duck for themselves…
