Save your favourite skirt with this tip.

Unfortunately, most of us  get a monthly period.

It’s sore, it’s messy and nine times out of ten, it leaves you with awkward conundrums.

Which skirt doesn’t show my bloat? Which pants are the ultimate comfort while keeping me protected? And the not so glamourous:

How can I get rid of that stubborn period stain on my clothes?

While we know the best thing to do with a fresh stain is to run the fabric under cold or lukewarm running water to dissolve the blood, in reality, we’re not always next to a sink (or prepared) to deal with one of these little mishaps.

Now cleaning expert Jolie Kerr has come up with the simplest tip to breakthrough that bloody stain patch.

Jolie suggests:

“Crush up a few aspirin pills, combine them with water to make a paste, and put it on the stain. It’ll do a good job of removing it. A packet of salt or a few spoons of baking soda also work the same way.”

So next time you’re out of some stain devil but don’t want to leave your favourite skirt or jeans in a mess, try this little tip before popping the offending item in the washing machine.
