Gwyneth Paltrow has her eyes set on a new role but it’s not in the latest blockbuster or even a film: she has her heart set on a role in Downton Abbey.
According to reports the actress is a fan of the popular drama (like, who isn’t at this stage?!) and would like a role in the fourth series due to air this year.
Gwyneth apparently wants a role in the award-winning period drama.
“Gwen just wrapped Iron Man 3 and is so sick of blockbusters and wants to focus more on TV,” an insider told Star magazine.
“She adored working on Glee and told her team to get her on to Downton Abbey. She’s been told that creator Julian Fellows is thrilled and is fleshing out a cameo for her,” they added.
The actress has worked in television before, most recently on Glee.
As for any other details about the upcoming series, fans will have to wait and see as Julian is keeping quiet.
But by the sounds of it, and if Gwyneth gets her way, we could be seeing a new character at Highclere Castle.
