After being severely damaged in May by two men, the Phil Lynott statue was removed from it’s proper place on Harry Street just off Grafton Street for repairs.
Today, Phil made his return and was welcomed back by a huge crowd who gathered to watch his mother Philomena unveil the repaired statue.
Philomena told RTE News: “This weekend is his birthday weekend and there’s concerts being held all over the place in memory of him so I’m quite happy that they’ll all see the statue back in all its glory.”
