This week we are going to focus on the amazing world leader, Hillary Clinton.
1. She overcame a scandal.
When the Lewinsky scandal broke, many believed that Hillary and Bill would not survive, much less be able to weather the storm the affair created. But she weathered that storm and yet, Hillary has still remained one of the most influential women in politics. That is an achievement within itself.
2. She’s an inspiration to women who wish to enter politics.
Hillary was one of 27 women in a class of 235 in Yale Law school, this never deterred her. She was the first female partner in her law firm in Arkansas, that didn’t deter her. She was the First Lady, and the first First Lady to hold a postgraduate degree. She has never tired of her humanitarian work, she continues to campaign for issues that are close to her heart including universal health. She has proved that Bill needs her and not the other way around.
3. She’s one of the smartest women we know.
Well, she certainly proved that with her education alone but on top of that, Hillary is just extremely witty. She was once asked by a reporter who her favourite designer was, Hillary’s answer was: “would you ask a man that question?”
4. She made the first move.
Apparently, she made the first move on Bill. Clinton had been checking Hillary out on campus, she walked right up to him and said: “You know, if you’re going to keep looking at me, and I’m going to keep looking back, we should know each other. I’m Hillary Rodham.”
5. She can have a laugh.
Not only did she thank the brilliant site Texts from Hillary for giving her a laugh, Hillary also sent Jason Segel a brilliant note to thank him for asking her to appear on How I Met Your Mother. Apparently, Hillary replied she would work with him in the future but only if the Muppets were involved.
