Girl and her ex crop each other out of Tinder pics, but he’s not impressed

Things got awkward pretty quick

Picking a Tinder photo can be tricky.

Especially if it’s one with an ex in it, which usually involves some awkward cropping.

That’s exactly what Twitter user Brianna Boyce did when she joined the popular dating app.

She came across her ex Adrian while she was swiping and noticed they had each picked the same photo – just with the other person cropped out.

The Oklahoma native found it hilarious and decided to share the photo on Twitter, side by side with her profile.

She pointed out that there were “no hard feelings” between the pair as they were still friends.

The seemingly wholesome tweet went viral and things were all good – until her ex quote tweeted her with his side of the story.

He wrote:

“We broke up because you always lied and wanted your ex back (We’re not friends)”

Uh oh.

And social media users were quick to comment on Adrian’s (slightly harsher) version of the story.

Brianna explained to Cosmopolitan that she was stunned by Adrian’s response – and that she thought he would find the humour in it.

She added:

“We were friends before all of this happened, so I thought he would think it was funny, just like I did.”

And she disputed Adrian’s version of what happened – insisting their issues “went deeper than ‘lying and wanting [her] ex back’.”

She continued:

“I’m not perfect, but neither was he. We both had insecurities and faults in the relationship and that is ultimately what caused the break up.

“I would never publicly blast him on anything he did wrong in our relationship and I still won’t.”

The former couple have had a chance to talk things out since they first went viral.

Adrian has since apologised to Brianna for his response, and while she says she appreciates the apology it doesn’t “change the fact that I felt completely disrespected”.

She added:

“Whether he considers me a friend or not, I’ll probably still be a friend to him even after this, because there’s no point in holding grudges.”
