Giant Sausages, Gorgeous Galway and Glorious Drama: The Best of Tonight’s TV

You are in for an entertainment feast tonight as we have a couple of culinary shows, a delicious drama and a whole lot more!

So your other half won’t see past the fact that the footie is on but there is so much more on offer this evening…

The Gathering: Homeward Bound – RTÉ One (7.00pm)

Award-winning actress Fionnula Flanagan, who currently lives on the other side of the Atlantic, comes back to Galway to re-connect with the area and people in the final instalment of the documentary series.

Masterchef: The Professionals – BBC Two (8.00pm)

The five chefs from yesterday’s heat return for a skills test. Whichever four survive that will then have to re-create a chicken recipe before they cook their own meal for the judges. The most impressive three will go through to the quarter final.

New Girl – RTÉ Two (8.30pm)

If you haven’t tuned into this quirky comedy yet, tonight is the night to do it! In the first of the new series, Jess is fired from her job so agrees to be a ‘shot girl’ for Schmidt’s party and Winston shows another side to himself.

Homeland – RTÉ Two (9.00pm)

Brody agrees to work with Carrie and Quinn in order to prevent an attack on America as Faber attracts the attention of the CIA with his questions about Tom Walker. It just keeps getting better and better!

Heston’s Fantastical Food – Channel 4 (9.00pm)

Heston Blumenthal is back on our screens in his new culinary show. Tonight the Michelin star chef supersizes a number of popular breakfast foods including boiled eggs, cereal and metre-long sausages.
