Simon Cowell will not be pleased when he hears that Gary Barlow has gone behind his back to bring Cheryl Cole back to the X Factor.
The Take That singer has apparently organised for the Geordie lass to be his plus one for the judges’ houses phase of the competition.
But nobody, not Simon and not his fellow judges, had any idea about it. Not that that’s surprising considering that Cheryl and Simon famously fell out over her dismissal from the American version of the talent show.

Cheryl used to be a judge on the UK version of the X Factor.
A source told The Sun: ‘Only Gary’s intimate inner circle know. He hasn’t even discussed it with Simon or ITV bosses. It’s been seriously top secret stuff.’
It seems the pair hatched the plan after working together for the concert to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee earlier this year.
Everyone assumed that Gary would bring back his old friend andformer band mate Robbie Williams to help him just like last year.

Last year Robbie helped Gary during this phase of the competition.
‘They’re all under the impression it’s going to be Robbie. No one even noticed the dates for the recording clashed with Robbie’s new solo tour,’ said the source.
Gary and Cheryl will be hoping to mentor one from the over-25s category to victory. If that fails, at least they know they could make it as top secret agents!
