If you’ve passed through Ranelagh in Dublin over the last couple of weeks, you might have noticed something very interesting perched atop the SPAR store in the heart of the village…
SPAR’s giant ‘Twitter Christmas Tree’ is adorned with 1,600 festive bulbs that are being ‘powered’ by tweets – every time someone tweets using the hashtag #UnderTheTree, another light on the tree comes to life.
Every #UnderTheTree tweet also contributes towards a fantastic €20,000 donation to The National Children’s Hospital Tallaght. Once the tree is fully lit, SPAR will make the donation, which will be used for essential facility upgrades and equipment in the hospital. We love this idea!
We’ve got until 30 December to get that giant tree fully lit and the important donation in the bag for The National Children’s Hospital, so make sure to get tweeting #UnderTheTree!
