From an Off-the-Rails Robert Pattinson To a Crazed, One-Armed Alien: DVD Picks of the Week

We know which one we'd choose to be in our company but just in case you're not so sure!

Rebecca McKnight

Tis the season to watch lots of films so why not get started this evening?

If you feel like…

Hiding behind a pillow

Silent House (15)– In this independent horror film a young woman (Elizabeth Olsen) becomes trapped inside her family’s lakeside house but it’s not as peaceful as it sounds. In fact, it’s the furthest thing from peaceful.

Crying

Remember Me (12)– It might be a couple of years old but this romantic drama starring Robert Pattinson is definitely worth a watch. He plays a troubled guy who ends up falling in love with a free-spirited girl in his class.

Snuggling up with the little ones

Top Cat (G)– Based on the television series of the same name, this flick focuses on Top Cat and his gang who come up against a new police chief. Not the best children’s film ever but it will keep them entertained for a couple of hours anyway.

Laughing

Men in Black 3 (PG) – It’s not so much a comedy as an action comedy but that’s good enough for us. Will Smith reprises his role of Agent J who has to go back in time to save a younger Agent K played excellently by Josh Brolin.

Being glued to the edge of your seat

The Bourne Legacy (12) – In the latest instalment of the espionage franchise Jeremy Renner finds himself in a very complex situation following on from the first three Bourne films which were led by Matt Damon.
