Forrest Gump, a Festive Favourite and The Final of X Factor: The Best of Tonight’s TV

After weeks of waiting, the X Factor has reached its final weekend but don’t worry if you’re not tuning in this year because there is plenty more for you to enjoy this evening.

We have a couple of the usual suspects and three flicks for you tonight. Talk about being spoilt…

A Christmas Carol – RTÉ One (6.35pm)

Jim Carrey plays Scrooge in this animated version of the famous Charles Dickens’ novel about a foul-tempered miser who hates Christmas. On Christmas Eve he is visited by a series of ghosts who show him what will happen if he doesn’t change his ways.

 

Strictly Come Dancing – BBC One (6.50pm)

Nicky Byrne and the rest of the remaining celebrities will be taking to the floor in the hope of securing their place in the next round of the dance competition.

 

X Factor – TV3 (8.00pm)

The final of this year’s show has arrived. Christopher Maloney, Jahmene Douglas and James Arthur will be battling it out this evening but only two will go through to the last stage tomorrow. Nicole Sherzinger and Gary Barlow will be performing with their respective acts.

 

Forrest Gump – Sky1 (9.00pm)

Tom Hanks plays Forrest Gump in this Oscar-winning comedy drama about a man that has some very interesting experiences during his life.

 

Breach – RTÉ Two (9.15pm)

In this drama, based on real-life, a surveillance expert is assigned to work under a veteran agent. However his real task is to gather evidence against him. Starring Ryan Philipee, Chris Cooper and Laura Linney.
