The mystery character was finally revealed in an episode of the series last night and to be honest, it really is a weight off.
As you may or may not know, Ted has been telling his kids for about 7800 years now how he met their mother, but only last night did we actually meet her.
At the moment, she is just known to us as the “Girl with the Yellow Umbrella.” We first see her when the group are heading to the wedding of their friends Barney and Robin.
The yellow umbrella lady is played by Cristin Milioti, who you might remember as Abby Flynn from 30 Rock but is perhaps better known as a theatre actress.
