It seems that Strictly Come Dancing has taken the crown for Saturday night television as it has beaten X Factor yet again.
The dance show brought in almost 10.5 million viewers with the X Factor lagging behind with an average of 8.4 million.
While the singing competition did do better than last weekend, its figures are a far cry from this time last year and its BBC rival.

Denise Van Outen and her partner James Jordan topped the scoreboard.
Celebrities Denise Van Outen and Louis Smith probably had something to do with show’s ever-growing popularity as both put on incredible performances on Saturday night with their respective professional dance partners.
Sadly, Fern Britton and former Strictly winner Artem Chigvinstev were booted out of the competition last night when they came up against Girls Aloud star Kimberley Walsh and Pasha Kovalev.

District 3 lost out to fellow group Union J in the sing-off.
Meanwhile, it came down to the two boy bands on X Factor. And while mentor Louis Walsh refused to vote, Nicole Sherzinger and Gary Barlow both saved Union J meaning that they went through to next week and District 3 went home.
We think it’s safe to say that Simon Cowell will not be a happy camper this morning!
