A British man whose fiancée recently broke off their engagement is auctioning off her half of their honeymoon to the Dominican Republic on eBay.
John Whitbread was left heartbroken when his partner ended their relationship over Christmas, but looking on the bright side of things, decided he was going on his honeymoon anyway.
Opening up the bidding at just 99p, John was hoping to find someone to enjoy an all-inclusive vacation in Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic.
The 32-year old said he is not bitter, and that despite being jilted, is not angry with his ex for ending their relationship.

As his name is on the holiday package, he now needs to find a travel partner, but insists he’s not looking for love, but more for a fun companion:
“I enjoy a good laugh with a good sense of humour. I’m not boring, I’m adventurous, otherwise I wouldn’t be doing something as ridiculous as this. I smoke, I drink and damn have I got some sharp moves on that dance floor!”
The auction has already covered the cost of the trip, with bidders eager to take up the place of his ex. Whitbread’s also donating any of the money made beyond the cost of the trip to a testicular cancer charity.
When questioned why this was his chosen charity, his reply is pretty spot on:
“Everyone’s saying I’ve got balls to do this.”
