Facebook Yellow.
The ‘secret’ version of the app is only available to employees at present but according to reports, it could be rolled out to all users in the future.
According to Business Insider, Mark Zuckerberg showed off the internal version during a live video, describing it as the “yellow version of the Facebook app, which is our internal build”.
To break it down, Facebook Yellow includes some pretty nifty features that aren’t available via the current version, including music, slideshows and GIFs.
The GIF idea isn’t new but there hasn’t been a specific button for the feature until Facebook Yellow and the music inclusion suggests that Facebook could be set to partner with a music label.
If reports are to be believed, we won’t have too long to wait as these new features are apparently on the way with the next update.
Mr Zuckerberg himself explained the idea behind Facebook Yellow in the video below and we NEED Facebook Yellow in our lives (purely so we don’t feel like we’re missing out on something).
Live from Facebook HQ for the Live video launch!
