English Guy Mistaken As Professional DJ Plays Along Brilliantly

This is truly majestic. Someone give him an award.

It’s always nice to get a job offer. It gives you a confidence boost and makes you feel like your skills are FINALLY being recognised.

But what about being offered a job that you are in no way qualified to do? This happened to Danny James Elliot and he told the hilarious story on his Facebook page.

Apparently, Danny has the same name as a professional DJ in his hometown of Leeds and in an absolutely brilliant case of mistaken identity received some messages from a club promoter praising his work and offering him further jobs.

Danny of course played along,  and made a series of extensive demands including smoke machines, foam cannons, lasers and rave paint, and even asked what the club’s policy on animals was.

He also included a frankly stunning playlist with top tracks including Hey Baby by DJ Otzi and Cha Cha Slide by DJ Casper.

Sadly, the promoter realised that he’d gotten the wrong guy, and this beautiful story came to an end. What absolute perfection.

You can read his full Facebook post here.
