He’s one of the most loathed presenters in television and American network CNN has now jumped on the bandwagon, dropping Piers Morgan’s chat show from its schedule.
It emerged last night that Piers Morgan Tonight has been axed from the channel by Chief Executive Jeff Zucker, with the move being widely attributed to the show’s falling ratings in recent months. It is not yet known when the programme will cease to broadcast but those hoping for a break from the English journalist may be set for disappointment, as Morgan is believed to be remaining with CNN in a different capacity.

Morgan has kept schtum about the developments on his Twitter feed but news blog Infowars.com is quoting him as blaming the axe on his outspoken stance in US gun control.
“Look, I am a British guy debating American cultural issues, including guns, which has been very polarizing, and there is no doubt that there are many in the audience who are tired of me banging on about it,” he said.
