Having an on-screen kiss must be one of the most awkward moments for any young actress…
But Emma Watson said she “couldn’t wait” for her kissing scene in The Perks Of Being A Wallflower.
The ex-Harry Potter star told MTV News she wanted to do the lengthy smooch with her co-star Logan Lerman justice.
The film is in cinemas next month but we had a sneaky preview peek of the kiss here at Her.ie, and let’s just say it looked like the two young stars enjoyed it…
The 22-year-old said she read the scene and thought it was “epic”; “I mean, when I read our first kiss scene, it’s so epic. It’s like the most beautiful scene I’ve ever seen written on a page.
“And it was like, ‘Oh, we’re going to have to kill this one!’ Like, it’s so good, I wanted to do it justice. And it’s so emotional and we’re both so vulnerable in it, but the main thing was I get to do it with Logan.
“He makes me feel so safe, so it’s going to be fine, which made it fine.”
Ah, that’s sweet. We did have a few disagreements about the on-screen age difference between the stars but it can’t be denied that the film portrays all the magical feelings of young love.
Eh, Emma? That’s the cardboard version of your co-star…
MTV News also reported that US actor Logan, 20, admitted that he had been worried about acting out the scene in front of the crew.
“[It was] nerve-racking,” he said. “Those scenes are always hard to do when there’s 15 or 20 other people in the room.”
The innocent kiss definitely got us nostalgic about our teenage days, and it seems like it had a similar effect on Watson…
