One of his hobbies is to snap some cool shots of the world, from an angle very few of us will ever experience.

Canadian flight engineer Col Chris Hadfield was inspired to take this amazing photo of Dublin through a gap in the clouds as he orbits Earth on the International Space Station.

But Hadfield wasn’t too sure of the place he was taking the photo of…

He tweeted the photo out to his 108,000 followers, but admitted he was unsure of which “port town” he has photographed.

The veteran astronaut, who will take over the command of the space station in March as part of his third mission in space, soon received a flurry of tweets informing him of the photo’s location.

Hadfield tweets amazing photos of the world on a daily basis, he is definitely one to follow on the Twitter machine. Here are some more cool snaps…

He grew up on a corn farm in a small rural town west of Toronto and will join NASA astronaut Chris Cassidy and Russian cosmonauts Pavel Vinogradov and Alexander Misurkin when he takes over command of the space station as part of NASA’s Expedition 35.
