A Domino’s Pizza delivery driver has been fired after sending a female customer a number of text messages.
According to The Mirror, Exeter-based Imogen Groome ordered takeaway on Friday night and after getting her delivery, she started getting messages from the man who had dropped off her pizza.
The first message reportedly read: “you are so beautiful God bless you” to which 22-year-old Imogen replied “thanks!”.
The second one read “I bet you next one is or she s happy good nite you make my night” and Imogen said “what?!” and then the following text said “sorry to disturb you, you are too beautiful, so pretty”.
Speaking to student newspaper, The Tab, Imogen said she found it “odd and a bit funny at the time” but thinking about it afterwards, she said it was “quite sinister and freaky”.
A spokesperson for the pizza company said: “We are very sorry to hear about Imogen’s experience, which was wholly unacceptable.
“Following an investigation, the driver has been dismissed with immediate effect.
“We are in touch with Imogen to help put this right”.
