The Irish didn’t fare too badly…
New research carried out by Irish Around Oz has revealed the ten most powerful passports in the world for 2015.
According to the site, the research was carried out based on the travel freedom that is enjoyed by passport holders of different nationalities.
In at joint first place were the UK, Sweden and Finland due to the fact that holders of these passports can access 173 countries without a visa.
Only just behind them in second place were the USA, Germany, Denmark and Luxembourg who can visit 172 countries without needing a visa.
Meanwhile in third place at 171 countries, were Italy, Belgium and the Netherlands while in fourth spot came Ireland, Canada, France, Japan, Norway, Portugal and Spain who can access 170 countries.
Finishing off the top five at 168 countries, were Switzerland, Austria and New Zealand.
