The coolest thing about this turtle isn’t even his name.
We love vets. They’ve saved kept our pets healthy and saved some animals from death. We’ve seen them give dolphins tails and dogs limbs and they’ve done it again.
Vet Ben Trimmer attached wheels from a model airplane to Septimus the Turtle when he lost his feet during hibernation when some evil rats gnawed them off. When he woke up in April and resurfaced, his front feet needed to be amputated.
The reptile has taken to his wheels. ‘On cut grass he’s really fast,’ his owner Darren Strand said.
He added that the turtle is ‘sprightly and sociable,’ and now thanks to one sweet vet he can continue being the extrovert that he is.
