The Monday ‘healthy living’ buzz has worn off and cooking dinner just seems like a massive struggle.
But if you were tempted to pop out for a takeaway tonight, this might make you think twice.
A man in the US has claimed that he ordered a portion of chicken tenders at fast-food restaurant KFC but found what appeared to be a fried baby rat alongside his snack.
Devorise Dixon from California posted a series of photos on Facebook, claiming that he the tender was “very hard and rubbery, which made me look at it. As I looked down at it, I noticed that it was was in a shape of a rat with a tail.”
He said that he sealed the item in a bag and put in in his freezer before bringing it back to KFC, where he claims a manager confirmed that he’d served fried rat.
However, the story has now gone viral and KFC have insisted on social media that no such admission was made by their staff.
They added that they have been trying to contact Mr Dixon in order to carry out tests on the food item.
