Almost a year ago, Rebekah Gregory and Pete DiMartino were left seriously injured and in need of surgery after the Boston Marathon bombings.
But now the couple, who got engaged in October after just over a year together, have walked down the aisle. The ceremony took place at a 19th-century estate in North Carolina yesterday.
Rebekah and Pete both suffered serious leg injuries and were wheelchair-bound after the incident which claimed the lives of three people and injured hundreds more. In fact, she may still have to have her leg amputated because of the severity of her wounds.
Still, that fact didn’t stop her from walking down the aisle in front of her friends and family including her six-year-old son whom she shielded during the blast last April.
