AA Roadwatch is looking for new talent. They have an opening for a part-time researcher/broadcaster for their team based in Dublin City Centre.
The position involves approximately 20 hours per week and includes shift work. Shifts will mainly cover rush hour periods (6.00am – 9.00am and 4.00pm – 7.00pm) Monday to Friday but will also involve night work (7.00pm – 11.00pm), weekends and public holidays.
The position will mainly be based in their Roadwatch City Centre Office but will also occasionally include shifts in their Dublin City Council office.
Applicants must have excellent research skills, data-entry experience, a good phone manner and communication skills. They will also need to have an excellent broadcasting voice, be familiar with social media and willing to partake in online campaigns. Training and/or experience in journalism is an advantage.
The successful applicant will be required to research traffic and travel information and input it into a central database. They will also be expected to broadcast live on national radio, deal with media enquiries, update phone services and attend all aspects of social media.
