Cory Monteith, the star of Glee, was found dead in his hotel room on Saturday, however there had been no confirmation as to the cause of his death.
News is emerging this evening that the cause of death was a lethal combination of heroin and alcohol, according to reports from the coroner.
The British Columbia Coroners Service revealed the news just this evening after further tests and toxicology reports, according to TMZ.

The news comes hours after it had emerged that the actor was leading a double life, working very hard on his career during the week but using drugs whenever he returned to Canada.
The star had checked into rehab in March due to his substance abuse but his cast members insisted that he managed to stay clean while on set.
In a release, the coroners service said: “at this point there is no evidence to suggest Mr Monteith’s death was anything other than a most-tragic accident”.
The coroner’s report described the cause of death as a “”mixed drug toxicity, involving heroin and alcohol.”
