The families of missing teens Louis Thompson and Ebony Briggs have issued an emotional plea for their safe return.
The 14 year-olds were last seen when Louis walked Ebony to a bus stop near his home on Tuesday night in East Belfast.
Louis’ grandmother Ruth spoke to The Belfast Telegraph:
“I’m going out of my head with worry,” she said.
“On Tuesday Ebony called to see Louis who was at his mother’s home. She is staying in a care home for a few weeks and had to back by 10 pm.
“Then at 9.20pm she was getting ready to leave and Louis said he would walk her to the bus stop and they left the house shortly after that but we haven’t heard from them since.
“Goodness knows where they are. We were told there were some sightings of them late on Tuesday night. The police are out looking for them and they are on the high risk.
“When he didn’t come home we started ringing round and then we rang the police in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
“His phone is off but maybe his battery is dead.”
“I know Ebony was quite upset during the day as she doesn’t like the care home. We have looked everywhere for her, we have looked in Belvoir Wood, Victoria Park and in the Village and in Ballysillan. We have been all over town. We have run out of places we can even think of.
“It’s been absolute hell, we are in and out of the house. I’ve had no sleep worrying about them.
“His mum is worried sick and is in bits, it’s her eldest son. We just want them home or even someone sees them let us know.”
If anyone spots the teens, they are asked to contact the Strandtown Police Station on 101.
