It past the harshest critic in town, but the X-Factor musical I Can’t Sing is to close it’s doors just six weeks after opening in the West End.
Written by Harry Hill, the musical was based on the popular ITV reality show, an opened to rave reviews – including show creator Simon Cowell, who labeled it ‘fantastic’.
CEO of Stage Entertainment UK, Rebecca Quigley released a statement on the announcement, saying:
“We are sad to be bringing I Can’t Sing! to a close, but are immensely proud to have co-produced the show. The West End can be an unpredictable place as the closure of a number of high profile productions recently has shown.”
The show will be closing its doors in London’s West End after a final show on May 10.
