Christmas is only a few weeks away now and although we want to fit into that little party number it is okay to indulge in the odd pre-holiday treat in the lead up to the big event.
The lights have been switched on, we have already started abusing our credit card and Macauly Culkin’s face has already been plastered across the telly, which means it is officially time to embrace the holidays and treat yourself after a long and wonderful year.
We’ve already started!
Starbucks Gingerbread Latte
Ah, the creamy, gingery goodness takes right back to the Christmas Eves of old where our mom slaved to make sub-standard cookies for a hungry Santa. During the winter hot beverages are appreciated any time, any day of the week and this sweet coffee topped with freshly baked gingerbread crumbs and velvety whipped cream will have you in the Christmas mood in no time! The coffee brand has a range of festive beverages including Eggnog and Toffee Nut Lattes as well as a Praline Mocha but this one is by far our festive favourite. Mmmm.

Lidl Full Roast Duckling
A succulent roast duck is a great pre-Christmas splurge and it will really wow. Many of us head home for the holidays so why not organise a little pre-party with your friends and ask everyone to bring something to the table. The duck is incredibly affordable and delicious and is a gorgeous alternative to the traditional turkey. Serve with a homemade cranberry sauce to cut through the richness and serve with an indulgent bottle of fruity white wine.
Winter Fruits
If you’re keen on keeping it healthy this season, nothing beats a full and tempting fruit bowl. Stock up on the lovely winter fruits such as zesty and festive satsumas, cranberries and ripe pomegranates to satisfy the sweet tooth and bring a little Christmas to your lunch box.

M&S Christmas Crisps
If you haven’t been roaming down the aisles of M&S this month, you’ve safely avoided the mounds of delicious savory treats that are happily waiting to be brought home and devoured. From smoked salmon mousses to unbelievable Christmas sandwiches the supermarket really have a handle on Christmas spirit. However, these Christmas crisps really caught our eye (and proceeded to be put in our gobs) and they are fabulous. They come in two flavours, Port and Stilton and Turkey Stuffing and Cranberry both equally as scrumptious. Even the packaging has us in high spirits!
