Traditionally it’s the leading lady who takes her clothes off in a film but increasingly male stars are starting to strip down to next to nothing for their big screen releases.
We’re not going to lie, we’re not exactly complaining here in Her.ie towers. In fact these are some of our favourite naked moments from our favourite actors…
1. Richard Gere in An Officer and a Gentleman – He may play an officer and a gentleman in this 1982 movie but with a bum like that we can think of a few other professions he’d be good at!
2. Michael Fassbender in Shame – Michael Fassbender got quite a big, ahem, reputation after taking off the layers in this film about a man who suffers from sex addiction. All we can say is his real-life girlfriend Nicole Beharie is one lucky lady.
3. Robert Carlyle in The Full Monty – Okay so we’ll admit he’s no oil painting but the moment he and his co-stars stripped off for this runaway hit is one that will definitely go down in film history.
4. Ryan Gosling in Crazy, Stupid, Love – We could hardly contain ourselves when Ryan Gosling stripped off for this touching film about romance with only Steve Carrell’s head to save his modesty. What we would have given to swap places with the comic actor at that moment!
5. Jason Segel in Forgetting Sarah Marshall – This cuddly bear is getting a reputation for stripping off in his films but it all began in this 2008 hit also starring Russell Brand, who surprisingly didn’t get his kit off.
6. Tom Hardy in Bronson – So he wasn’t playing the most becoming or charming of characters in this crime movie but he did run around naked in it. And anything that has a naked Tom Hardy gets a thumbs up from us.
7. Ryan Reynolds in The Proposal – Both Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock got down to their birthday suits for a scene in this funny romantic comedy. But as gorgeous as the The Blind Side star is we had our eyes firmly fixed on her co-star.
8. Paul Rudd in The 40 Year Old Virgin – If you’re going to flash a part of your body you may as well do it with style. And that’s exactly what Paul Rudd did in this hilarious film with a mini camera and lots of television screens.
9. Christian Bale in American Psycho – Let’s face it, who’s not going to like Christian Bale in the buff? We didn’t think so. If you didn’t see it already then get your hands on a copy of American Psycho today but just a word of warning, this film is not for the faint-hearted.
10. Will Smith in I, Robot – Out of all the scenes in this sci-fi film, the shower one is undoubtedly the standout scene. And yes ladies you do get to see Will Smith’s bum. And yes it does look good.
