We all know our strengths and our weaknesses.
For some city folk, the concept of shearing a sheep isn’t something they ever figured they’d learn to master.
So when we were approached to take part in some of the fun ahead of the Flavours of Fingal County Show, we jumped at the chance to learn how to shear a sheep.
Taking a trip out to Glenasmole at the foot of the Dublin Mountains, our Liz met local farmer Donie Anderson, who showed her how to hand shear a sheep ahead of some of the demonstrations he’ll be performing out in Donabate this weekend.
She also got a quick demonstration of the sheepdog trials that will be taking place at the festival.
