Imagine… A Canadian dentist wants to bring back music legend John Lennon using one of his teeth.
Dr. Michael Zuk, a dentist-turned-collector, said that he’s very serious about his plan to extract the DNA from one of Lennon’s molars.
The dentist bought the tooth at a 2011 auction for $31,000.
“I had a bigger picture even then,” Zuk told the Huffington Post.
“I knew it was a bit of a long shot, but still not terribly unlikely that a person could get some genetic material from the tooth.”

He said that he’s waiting to begin working with scientists and also is looking into securing a film crew to document the entire process.
“There are a number of scientists around the world who are working on genetic sequencing,” he said.
“We’re needing less and less genetic material to bring back a mammal.”
To “bring someone back from history … would be the ultimate expression of science” he added.
Lennon’s widow Yoko Ono has yet to comment on the story.
