Sometimes DVD night is about seeing the latest blockbuster that you never around to seeing the cinema. Maybe it’s a tragic romance because you need a good cry, or a comedy on those days you badly need a laugh. Now and again though, you just really want to drool over a hot celeb bod. But why have just one dreamy dude when you can have several? We’ve rounded up movies where the hottie factor adds up to more than the sum of its parts. You’re welcome.
The Avengers
We struggle to see how this one could be bettered. 2012 cinema sensation The Avengers brought us bad boy Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, cutie Chris Evans as Captain America, and the adorable Mark Ruffalo as The Hulk. Oh and there’s the small matter of awesome Aussie Chris Hemsworth as Thor. He does look like a God, so that was quite clever casting really.
Valentines Day
Don’t get us wrong – we’re not recommending the movie, just the guys in the movie. You see? We know it’s a crap film too. Trying, and failing miserably, to recreate the magic of multi-story Love Actually, 2010 movie Valentine’s Day is worth leaving on with the sound down at your next girls’ night in. As you chat, check out Bradley Cooper, Patrick Dempsey, Eric Dane, Jamie Foxx, Aston Kutcher, Taylor Lautner and more.
Inception
We’ve loved Leo every since our pre-teen selves went off to see him become King of the World on the Titanic before meeting a watery end that left us all in bits. All-grown-up Leonardo Di Caprio heads up the hottie count in 2010’s Inception, but he’s ably assisted. Step forward the divine Tom Hardy, and our inner hipster fell for Joseph Gordon Levitt in 500 Days Of Summer. For some homegrown hot – our own Cillian Murphy is in there too. Represent!
Knocked Up
They may not be the most conventionally handsome movie stars out there, but the current crop of leading comedy actors are, in our eyes, utterly adorable. Goofy and sweet, we imagine them to be a little bit more like ‘real men’ than the super chiseled Adonises that traditionally graced the silver screen, and after all, a GSOH is one of our big must-haves when it comes to our men. Knocked Up, (2007), has Seth Rogen, Paul Rudd, Jason Segel, Jay Baruchel and Jonah Hill all popping up to make us smile.
Ocean’s Eleven/Twelve/Thirteen
We will be eternally grateful to the brains behind the Ocean’s reboot for giving us BFFs gorgeous George Clooney and beautiful Brad Pitt together THREE times. Amazing. The fine-looking friends brought some others along for the ride too, as if they weren’t enough on their own. Watch the Ocean’s franchise (2001, 2004, 2007) to ogle Casey Affleck, Scott Cann and Matt Damon.
