Book Awards, Big Songs and Benicio Del Toro: The Best of Tonight’s TV

Forget about dressing up, going out and having a good time because putting on your PJs, snuggling up and also having a good time is just as enjoyable!

We’ve a few of the old favourites plus a couple of flicks and an awards ceremony to keep you on your toes, or should we say sofa, this evening…

The X Factor – TV3 (8.00pm)

We’re afraid Strictly loses out this week as Ella Henderson’s shock exit on Sunday makes the X Factor the show to watch tonight. The remaining contestants will be relying on either an Abba song or a Motown hit to see them through to the semi-finals.

The Wolfman – Channel 4 (9.00pm)

Benicio Del Toro, Anthony Hopkins and Emily Blunt star in this horror about a man who returns home to find out more about the disappearance of his brother only to be attacked by a creature, the aftermath of which is terrifying.

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here – 3e (9.45pm)

The end keeps getting closer which means the celebrities are getting both more irritable about being in the jungle and more excited about the prospect of winning and going home. Ant and Dec fill us in on the last 24 hours.

PS I Love You – More 4 (10.00pm)

So the acting isn’t superb and the accents are pretty terrible but this film, based on Ceclia Ahern’s best-selling novel of the same name, tells a beautiful story. Hilary Swank plays a widow who receives a series of letters from her husband encouraging her to live her life to the full. Gerard Butler also stars.

The Irish Book Awards 2012 – RTÉ One (11.00pm)

Claire Byrne and John Murray run through the highlights from the Bord Gáis Energy Irish Book Awards. The ceremony celebrates the best of the books published in Ireland and covers a range of genres.
