Basketball Ireland have announced their All-Stars this week ahead of the final weekend of National League action.
The All-Stars were voted for by players and coaches across all divisions and this weekend’s finals in Galway will see the selected players presented with the prestigious awards.
First up, the Women’s Premier League All-Stars produced a remarkable result in the off-guard position.
Both DCU Mercy’s Sarah Woods and Team Montenotte Hotel’s Niamh Dwyer received the exact same votes from Women’s Premier League players and coaches, resulting in a tie at the two spot.

As a result, both players will be presented with All-Star awards this weekend.
Meanwhile, UL Huskies’ American Kelsey Harris nailed down the Point Guard spot while compatriot Caroline Stewart was named in the five spot for DCU Mercy.
Team Montenotte Hotel duo Grainne Dwyer and Claire Rockall were named in the forward positions.
Meanwhile in Division One, teams from Kerry, Galway and Laois filled the five first-choice positions.
Ailish O’Reilly of NUIG Mystics was named as the All-Star point guard, with Jennifer Morabito of Oblate Dynamos’ was named at off-guard.

The league’s top scorer, Kelsey Wolfe of Portlaoise Panthers, scooped an All-Star as a forward, while Emma Sherwood and Loretta Maher both of Garvey’s Tralee Imperials made up the remainder of the first five.
The Women’s Premier League shield final takes place this Saturday, March 28th at NUIG Kingfisher at 12pm when UL Huskies take on Pryobel Killester.
The Women’s Premier League Final follows later that evening at 8pm and sees an all-Cork battle between Team Montenotte Hotel and Singleton Supervalu Brunell.
