Her.ie columnist Mairead Farrell is on a quest to discover how women cope with the changes in their body shape after they welcome a new baby. She delves into the pressure on mothers to lose weight quickly and investigates the extreme measures some women take to recover their pre-pregnancy figure.

The Great British Bake Off – BBC2 (20:00-21:00)
The contestants battle it out once more but this time involves working with tricky pastries. The bakers are put to the test in a series of demanding tasks including making beef Wellington and baking hand raised pies. The contestants are forced to make a difficult American pie before the judges decide which one doesn’t make the cut.

Starring Angelina Jolie, James McAvoy and Morgan Freeman, Wanted is an action packed thriller about a frustrated office worker who learns that he is the son of an assassin and has inherited his thirst for blood as well as his super killing abilities.

Firefighters – RTÉ One (20:30 – 21:00)
This documentary follows the dramatic work of Dublin’s Fire and Rescue team who race through the city to revive a man after a drug overdose. On the other side of town several fire squads are dispatched when a blaze is reported across the roof of a popular Dublin bar, and another team is sent to deal with a chip pan fire in an apartment.

New Girl – E4 (21:00 – 21:30)
Jess witnesses an argument between her boyfriend Russell and his ex-wife Ouli and begins to worry that her relationship doesn’t possess the same fire and passion. Cece encourages Schmidt to date other women and he asks her roommate Nadia out to spite her. Nick devotes himself to starting a garden on the rooftop.
