As the romantic comedy narrative would lead us to believe, women are the fans of commitment and men are aloof wild beasts to be tamed.
But apparently, according to a Match’s Single survey, two-thirds of men imagine your potential future together during a first date.
Over 5,500 people were surveyed and the study revealed some very surprising habits. The study asked men and women about their dating preferences and revealed a tonne of info about language usage, politic preferences and dream date spots for both sexes.
In terms of make habits, 27% admitted they already thought about children and had decided how many they wanted. 80% said they would be inclined to date a girl before they felt “chemistry”. Good lads, just give it a chance.
They’re also far more patient than the ladies with the average time they’ll spend waiting for a reply from a girl revealed to be 11.25 days.
Women only wait for 7 before giving up all hope of communication.
Both men and women are fairly equally sexually adventurous, with 16% of women saying they’d be up for making a sex tape and 48% of men revealing they’ve had sex in public.
And if your date is close to their ex, you generally don’t have to worry. Only 25% of people surveyed have had sex with an ex after a breakup.
Across the board, mentioning Netflix and Chill increases your chances of a second date by 99% (suggestive emoji). Using the term LOL increases your chances of sexy time by 36%.
